BBC Apprentice Broadcast Operators


Working alongside our journalists and progamme makers are a dedicated team of Broadcast Operators who make sure the operational, craft and technical side of our business runs smoothly.  This Apprenticeship is an exciting entry level opportunity to join the BBC in towns and cities right across the country; helping to sustain the reliability and quality of the BBC’s core services at local and regional level.

Main Responsibilities

We will teach you the following skills via a combination of classroom based learning at College (and with the BBC Academy) and via on the job ‘learning by doing’.

Digital Marketing and Social Media Apprentice


Flibl is seeking an ambitious and vibrant marketing apprentice who’s full of ideas, interested in technology and ready to build their career quickly.


Flibl is a content and communications agency providing core services in digital strategy and content creation (written stories, reports, infographics, podcasts and videos). Essentially, we help brands talk like humans on the Internet, and guide them in using online content to achieve their specific business goals.


As a marketing apprentice at Flibl, you’ll work as part of a small in-house team based at our office in Norwich city centre.


We hope you’ll become an indispensable team member and that this will be the beginning of a long-term relationship. You’ll be rewarded with professional development opportunities, external training funded by us, and incremental pay increases according to performance.

Day-to-day tasks are likely to include the following:

  • Updating internal spreadsheets and databases.
  • Attending team meetings and shadowing staff.
Our perfect candidate would be proactive, confident and full of ideas, and at least casually interested in technology and futurism (think space travel, robots and VR). We’re looking for a hard-grafter who’s interested in advancing their skills quickly and building a successful career within our fast-growing company.


This position could lead to a Digital Marketing Assistant role after approximately 12 months.

Social Media and Digital Marketing Apprentice


We are recruiting an Apprentice with Social Media and Digital Marketing skills who would be adaptable to using WordPress to design web sites and using SEO to optimise them.

Duties to include:
  • Working with clients to develop websites utilising WordPress
  • Writing press releases
  • Arranging promotional events
  • Assessing the results of a marketing campaign
  • Assisting the manager in writing reports and analysing data
  • Helping to drive online traffic with web-related campaigns
  • Writing online content
  • Communicating with clients
  • Manages company social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other relevant platforms
  • Engages in social media presence creation on new and emerging social media platforms
  • Creates dynamic written, graphic, and video content
  • Optimizes content following search engine optimization (SEO) and pay-per-click (PPC)
  • Creates content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation
  • Assists social media management with large projects, events, and community management
  • Works as part of a team to develop large social media campaigns
  • Analyses and reports audience information and demographics, and success of existing social media projects
  • Proposes new ideas and concepts for social media content
  • Works with marketing and social media team members to coordinate ad campaigns with social media strategy
  • Writes and distributes e-newsletters to subscribers

Apprentice Executive Assistant


Job Role – 

• Meeting and greeting clients
• Data collection and transfer onto the system
• Arranging and attending meetings
• Building and maintaining social media profile (including Facebook and Twitter)
• Keeping the company website updated
• General office administrative tasks
• Dealing with queries face to face, by telephone and e-mail
• Some domestic duties around the office
• Adhering to all aspects of health and safety at all times
