IT / Social Media Apprentice - Ship Shape World Ltd

 Your role will be based in Norfolk. If you are keen to be part of a fast-moving, exciting industry - and you have excellent customer service skills - then this is a great opportunity to start building a future career within IT/social media.

 If you are a successful candidate for this role, you will be the first point of contact for IT support.

 Some of your duties could include:
• Taking first line support calls and logging as appropriate to resolve the queries
• logging incoming helpdesk tickets and update helpdesk tickets
• Creating secure, encrypted digital CD bibles
• manage the helpdesk queue
• Liaising with other members of the IT team to provide customers updates on timescales/progress etc.
• Being responsible for the booking of shared and pool equipment including managing stock levels and quality control of the devices.
• Ensuring that shared and pool devices are updated to the appropriate security and maintenance levels
• Using basic IT administration (account management, Active Directory, amending email groups, setting Out of Office messages)

Business Administration Apprentice - Circle Housing

The House Exchange service within Circle Housing, is looking for a Business Administration Apprentice to support with administration as well as digital marketing and social  media accounts of the service.


House Exchange is a website that enables social housing residents to swap their homes. Over 1.4 million residents can access it and we have over 230 landlords signed up to the service.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage the sales database to a high degree of accuracy to ensure targeted marketing activity can take place to generate new business
  • Work closely with the marketing team to achieve sales objectives
  • Liaise effectively with all departments to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Contribute to the team performance by sharing and implementing best practise ideas
  • Represent House Exchange and the group at exhibitions, conferences and other external events
  • Utilise Social Media & digital marketing to promote the House Exchange service
The role will report into the House Exchange Manager but will interact with the entire House Exchange team.

Apprentice Digital Marketing Assistant (Level 3) - Eye Film and Television Limited 

Will work on the company’s digital marketing strategy, including use of social media and blogging.
Working closely with the marketing manager and managing director the successful candidate with help develop the company’s digital marketing strategy, including the use of Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Vlogging and Blogging.

 Will also work on company communications with new and existing clients, but setting up a regular newsletter and e-shot correspondence with different sectors that the company works in.

 Responsibilities include:
• Daily use of social media
• Keeping email databases up to date.
• Research and writing vlogs and blogs.

Hours of work - 35 hours per week, days to be confirmed, 9am - 5pm

Qualifications & Skills required - GCSE (or equivalents) A – C in Maths and English required. 2 A-levels (or equivalent) required. Need to have good written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of and be a user of Social Media and have good IT skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience in digital or media design preferable as is knowledge of photo-shop and InDesign.

Year 12 Mock Exam Section B Question

To help you prepare for the mock in the little time we have I am pre-issuing the section B question. Use this along with the case studies available on the o drive as part of your revision.


"To what extent has the internet played a significant role in the marketing and exchange of media products in the film industry?"


Your mock is next Thursday during the double. You will not get the full two hours but you are expected to answer on both sections. This means you will have slightly less time to respond to the questions. Be prepared for this.
